Since growth is vital for teenagers balanced diet can be helpful in proper growth. Many teenagers who get inspired by models and actors feel that size zero is an apt size and so they get into vigorous dieting. And many a times, this may lead to under nourishment and sometimes the response may be hormonal imbalance too. Adolescents must follow a dietary pattern different from adults. Adolescents must have diet that is nutritious as well as helpful in growth and development. There must be good amount of proteins, vitamins and minerals present in the food that teens eat.
Teenagers have problem of gaining weight fast because of lack of physical activity. And so there are chances of teenagers to become overweight or obese faster. They must take up exercises like jogging, swimming etc. Apart from this, they must regularly eat nutritious and healthy food. Teenagers have habit of eating lots of junk food. Eating junk food or fast food must be avoided to maintain good health and a balanced weight.
Many teenagers who are looking for instant solution for weight loss starve themselves. This would rather be harmful and lead to a weak immunity. Such things must be avoided. Teenagers must rather thrive on natural foods like fresh fruits and vegetables. Including more of salads and soups to the diet gives great results.
A dietician can give proper guidance to the teenagers. And so following the diet as given by the dietician can give effective results. Apart from this a few guidelines like drinking lots of water, eating fresh and green vegetables and fruits and along with good amount of physical activity can give great results. Teenagers must keep one more thing in mind and that is having a king-size nutritious breakfast. The main key to good health is adopting healthy eating habits.
